SIL-R silencers, also classified as baffle silencers, are of considerable importance in ventilation and air conditioning systems, both civil and industrial.
They control and reduce airborne noise transmitted through system ducts or keep noise emissions to the outside environment within permissible levels. They offer little resistance to the passage of air flow and are therefore used when acoustic intervention is required while maintaining the air passage necessary for the system to function properly. They are applied to any type of existing system by means of appropriate, made-to-measure fittings; they can be used indifferently for both air intake and exhaust.
The special aerodynamic structure of the baffles and the high quality of the sound-absorbing materials used ensure that the silencers have minimal pressure losses and high levels of sound attenuation.
The material from which the silencers are made is not hygroscopic, does not encourage the development and formation of spores or bacteria, and is not subject to corrosion by atmospheric agents. The baffles are inserted in a structure made of galvanised sheet steel, of adequate thickness, with appropriate reinforcements that guarantee perfect solidity to allow use even in the most severe conditions. Flanges are provided at the ends for connection to the ducting. The baffle silencers are available in many standard sizes, on request they are constructed with customer-specific dimensions and characteristics.
