Good experience for SILTE at the Inter-Noise 2024, International Congress on Noise Control Engineering, held in Nantes on 25-29 August, where we presented our case study on the noise impact control of a large industrial zinc oxide plant.
We started this work during the period of the Covid pandemic, right in the days when the first machinery was being started up, and studied the evolution of the situation as new machinery was added and switched on.
Thanks also to the collaboration with the SuonoeVita studio, we used different diagnostic techniques to address the acoustic challenges that arose and designed various tailor-made solutions.
Within 15 months, we went from a night-time differential of more than 13 dB that tended to increase to a final one of 0.5 dB, completing the company's noise remediation.
